# Overview

The Cube is typically installed on a carrier board, which offers various types of external connections to enhance its peripheral connectivity. The carrier board also reduces the wiring, improves reliability, and eases the assembly. Depending on the size and connection requirements, several types of carrier boards are available. The following sections describe each carrier board type.
